On the Edge (The Brazen Boys book 2) by Daryl Banner is a short m/m story. Short but utterly delightful, chalked full of laugh out loud moments and sexy times. The book starts out on Derek’s 33rd birthday. Derek’s a man who claims to be careful, cautious and paranoid. He finds himself all by his lonesome on his birthday celebrating it with bottle after bottle of wine and watching live cam boys he finds on the interweb. This is where he finds Edge. The oh-so-sexy Edge. While ogling his pictures Derek starts typing out a message to the sexy cam boy. A message he has no intention whatsoever of sending, of course. He thinks he’s so clever and so witty, really getting into the spirit of things, sucking back more wine and typing out naughty things to the pretty boy on his screen. Then our cautious birthday boy decides to mix things up a bit and he lets his freak out. Oh boy, does he let it out. Long story short – he gets naked, outrageously handcuffs himself to a barstool in his kitchen, and starts to pleasure himself. All the while he’s looking at pictures of Edge. He ends up accidently sending the message, a message he's put his address in. This is where the story really picks up and things get hot and hilarious.On The Edge is dirty, vulgar, and outrageously hilarious.
I would recommend it to anyone with a sense of humor and a love for m/m books.

So, I thought I'd start this little nugget before I feel asleep and finish it in the morning. I should have known better when reading something from Daryl 'don't stop reading even if you're eyes are burning out off your skull' Banner. Of course, hooked immediately and didn't stop till the end! I was constantly chuckling out loud and waking my husband. He asked what I was reading once, looked over to catch a glimpse of a phrase with the word cock in it, then never asked again. Super fun short read with much steamy action. I'm loving these Brazen boys books!
Derek and Edge has an interesting 'first meeting' to say he least! Probably the funniest scenario I've read in a long time... Daryl Banner has given the characters lines that really give you glimpses into their personalities

This is my favorite so far in the series, but I had to give it 4 stars because the ending is open to interpretation and I'm not a fan of those endings. Derek had me laughing so hard, I had tears in my eyes!! Being inside his head was a true pleasure and the text he wrote to Edge was beyound awesome. Him being out of the good wine was.......OMG hailarious. LMFAO!!! I was enjoying this so much that I was stunned when I reached the end and then I was sad to say goodbye to Derek & Edge on such a questionable note. Highly recommend.

Om his 33rd birthday Derek is surfing live cam porn shows and accidentally invites one of the live-cam boys over. The story takes place over the course of a few hours and centers mainly around the two men enjoying each others company.
Having read and enjoyed the first story in the series, I knew that this would be more than PWP, even if that was what was to be expected, with the set up. And I was right to expect more, and I got more. This story ends on a HFN note, just like the first book of the series.
Very enjoyable read. This is the second book I have read by this author and I will be looking out for other stories from him.
Everything was described very well. It was a great fantasy to read. Edge acted, sounded and was described exactly how I hoped he would. Normally in most books the hunky guy will come across as more passive and less attractive once you find out more about them. But there's always mystery about him, and it maintains the entire book. Perfect.
My only negative, the main character...was described so pathetic. I can understand the basis for it, but wow, the first quarter of the book was painful to read. It was hard to picture someone so down on life and himself in a sexual fantasy. Also 5 bottles of wine? He would be dead based on how he was physically described. (Was also hoping that he would have been described as the guy on the cover as it helps the fantasy for some point of reference for those of us who need it. But neither person is, so the cover is just kind of...used for visual publicity, unfortunately).
Once again as with Dorm Game, if you're not a person that likes m/m novels try something else of his instead.
Might be best not to read this one in public as this is Steamy with a capital S. And be prepared to get strange looks if you're anything like me when reading this and you sit their grinning like you're mad and chuckling to yourself. In fact any book that puts such a grin on my face is a 5 starer.
I really liked the story line and both Edge and Derek seem like cuties. My only complaint about this book is that its not long enough!!! I want more, I want to know what happens next. I find I quite like Daryl's writing style as its easy to read and leaves you wanting more.
I do have to say Daryl's tempting me with food again, I'm gonna have to go out and get myself a cupcake, thankfully chicken legs weren't quite so appealing this time P (read On the Edge and you'll know why).
I'll be looking forward to the next brazen boys novella - hopefully its not too far away.
On The Edge is everything Dorm Game is times 10. It’s funny and sexy and just plain hot, all mixed in with Daryl’s ever-present intensity that makes you forget to take a breath sometimes. I don’t know how he’s going to top this one, yet I know he will.
There a dozens of laugh out loud, awesome lines, but I think this one might be my favorite “What a thing to etch into someone’s tombstone Took a dip in the pool. Drowned on cock."
